Teen Leaders Club (Grades 7 - 12)

Developing the Leaders of tomorrow is what the Teen Leaders Club is all about!

This leadership club is based on community service, values and developing the leadership skills of each teen. Management of the club is teen based. Teen leaders run their own meetings, plan and sponsor events. Some of the events that leaders take part in or run are: Halloween night, The Annual Snowflake Ball, pictures with Santa, Y Pride Week and Big Brother/Big Sister mentorships. Each member of the Leadership Club plans and organizes a community based project. The club is a social network, part of the Northeast YMCA Leaders Program, teens meet other teens from throughout the northeast. Throughout the year the club participates in leadership rallies around New England and New York. Leaders come together at these rallies to share their ideas on leadership, values and friendship. The Teen Leaders Club is a great way to make friends, create memories, and to have fun!

  • Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:30 PM

youth strength training (ages 8-16)

A class for our Junior Members, Youth Strength Training is intended to provide a supervised introduction to the foundations of physical fitness and personal wellness. Activities include flexibility, cardiovascular training, strength and conditioning, basic anatomy instruction and principles of nutrition. This class is great for sports conditioning to prevent injuries and physical fitness.

  • Mon & Wed: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
  • Free to Full Members
  • LIMIT 10

youth aqua fit class (ages 8-15yrs.)

Participants must be Guppy level or higher and able to swim 25 yds. They must also be comfortable in both shallow and deep water. This class will focus on games, relays, and strength training.

  • Tues & Thurs: 5:15 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Fee: Full Members Free Program Members $50.00
